I am having trouble finding companion plants for my Radicans, they are so low growing nothing seems to look good with them. I would like a perrenial that will come back in the spring. I live in NWFL?

I purchased 3 dwarf radicans. They did good at first even had lots of blooms. Now, the lower leaves are turning yellow,no more blooms, looks sickly. Is it too much sun,too much water or a condition called "blight"?

I have planted some dwarf gardenias in my garden, but they look a little lost, I'm not sure what to plant with them to brighten them up?
